Academic Support Center - Helps with classroom and related academic accommodation issues involving technology (e.g. assistive listening devices).
ADAPT - Works to reduce substance abuse on campus. ADAPT (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team) administers a student assistance program, trains students, faculty, and staff on substance abuse issues, and provides special programming campus-wide. Part of Student Affairs.
Adaptive Computing Technology Center - Works with MU students, faculty, and staff with disabilities to help them gain full access to computing resources on campus; works with other local and governmental agencies to provide similar services statewide.
AgrAbility - The Missouri component of a national program that works to assist agricultural and agribusiness workers who have physical and mental disabilities to adapt their homes and farms in order to allow them to continue to work in agriculture.
Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator - Coordinates University efforts to comply with the ADA and to provide a welcoming environment for faculty, students, staff and visitors with disabilities.
Assessment and Consultation Clinic - Conducts fee-based LD and AD/HD assessments for students and others. Through a contract with the Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (MDVR), the Clinic also reviews all learning disability (LD) assessments done for clients or prospective clients of MDVR. The Clinic is within the College of Education's Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology.
Career Center - Available to all students, including students with disabilities. The site includes a link to the Career Services Council, a group of career services advisors from various MU schools and colleges campus-wide.
Hire Mizzou Grads - Developed by the MU Career Services Council, this resource provides direct access to numerous job opportunities, which can be supplemented by other resources including the following:
Chancellor's Diversity Initiative - Its mission is to develop, support and nurture programs that cultivate equity and inclusiveness in the MU campus community and to enhance the capacity of its students, faculty and staff to learn, teach and thrive in a diverse and cross-cultural environment.
Committee for Persons with Disabilities - Appointed by the Chancellor to advise on campus programs, activities, and services affecting faculty, students, staff, and visitors with disabilities.
Communication Science and Disorders - Programs in speech pathology and audiology.
Counseling Center - Provides counseling to employees and students, including employee assistance, psychological counseling, and the like; works with many people who have disabilities.
Disability Services - Provides accommodations and support services within the resources of the University. Assists college departments in providing access to services and programs in the most integrated setting possible.

Environmental Health and Safety - Administers MU's workers compensation and return-to-work programs, as well as safety programs, which can include health and ergonomic issues. Also assists in identifying and correcting environmental problems in MU buildings, such as poor air quality.
Health Professions, School of - Administers several academic programs, including Communication Science and Disorders (which includes the Speech and Hearing Clinic), Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound (DMU), Cardiopulmonary and Diagnostic Science, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy, all of which may be helpful in research, education, and training for people with disabilities.
Human Environmental Sciences - Has considerable expertise regarding accessible housing, barrier-free design, universal design, and other disability accommodation policy issues.
Learning Center - Provides writing assistance for all courses not labeled "writing intensive," assists students with math in a lab setting, offers help sessions and test reviews, and helps students with reading comprehension and study skills. The Center also has considerable expertise in working with students with disabilities.
Library Services - Assists library users with disabilities.

Medicine, School of- Administers many programs and provides various services benefitting people with disabilities.
School of Medicine programs include:
- Missouri THINK FIRST Injury Prevention Program - "The mission of THINK FIRST Missouri is to educate the public, especially adolescents, about their vulnerability to brain and spinal cord injury, common causes of these injuries, and how to prevent them."
- Many other disability-related programs and services.
Nursing, School of - Administers various programs and provides various services benefitting people with disabilities.
Occupational Therapy - Offers a Master of Occupational Therapy degree.
Parking & Transportation - Information about accessible parking.
Physical Therapy - Offers a Master in Physical Therapy degree.
Program for Excellence in Teaching - Includes disability and accommodation issues in its written materials and annual Teaching Renewal presentations.
Project LIFE - Its goal is to "improve the quality of life for Missourians of all ages with mental illness."
Recreational Services - Offers various programs, classes, and activities. Accessible equipment is available.
Rehabilitation Education and Training Program and ADA Project - Also part of the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology; provides extensive training for rehabilitation professionals in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- The unit's ADA Project (one of ten federally-funded ADA compliance advisory projects) provides extensive training and technical assistance on ADA compliance issues to public and private sector entities in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
Residential Life - Has day-to-day responsibility for MU residence halls and apartments. Residential Life, for example, works with:
- students who are deaf or hard of hearing and may need doorbell lights, emergency alarm lights, telephone amplifiers, and wake-up systems,
- students who have service animals, and
- students with severe disabilities who need personal assistance services in the residence halls.
- Requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Snow removal - During the winter months, accumulation of snow and/or ice on streets and sidewalks can impede or preclude the travel of students across campus. To report areas requiring attention by campus snow removal crews:
- On weekdays contact Campus Facilities (882-8211) between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Nights and weekends, contact the Campus Power Plant (882-3333). Staff there will help locate assistance.
Please note that some walkways and streets are not controlled by the University, but fall under the jurisdiction of the City of Columbia. Therefore, due to MU's lack of control, there may be greater difficulty in resolving accessibility problems attributable to snow and ice accumulation on those streets and walkways.
Student Health Center - Offers a full range of primary health services to meet student needs for health maintenance and ongoing medical concerns. Open to any currently enrolled student.
Transportation - During the fall and winter semesters, MU provides a lift-equipped bus for students with permanent and temporary mobility impairments. Limited availability. For more information, Contact Disability Services.

Wellness Resource Center - Instructs and encourages people in living a healthy lifestyle, and has information on alcohol and drug use and abuse.
