Association on Higher Education And Disability (AHEAD) - Its website describes AHEAD as an international, multicultural organization of professionals committed to full participation in higher education for persons with disabilities. MO-AHEAD (AHEAD's Missouri affiliate)

Closed Captioning Web - A variety of information about captioning.

Closing the Gap - Extensive and detailed information about computing technology for use in special education and rehabilitation.

DAIS (Disability Information Access and Support) - A very important resource for colleges and universities developing or assessing their disability policies. DAIS, headed by Jane E. Jarrow, Ph.D. , provides extensive technical assistance and training, much through the DAIS Academy.

DSSHE-L listserv (Disabled Student Services in Higher Education) - Subscribers are mainly postsecondary service providers. To subscribe, e-mail listserv@listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu. Omit a subject. The message: sub dsshe-l yourfirstname yourlastname

EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) - EASI's mission is to serve as a resource to the education community by providing information and guidance in the area of access-to-information technologies by individuals with disabilities.

HEATH Resource Center - National clearinghouse for information about disability issues in postsecondary education.

NASPA - a national association of student affairs administrators in higher education - has a "Disability Concerns network, which addresses issues of equal access & equal opportunity in higher education."

PEPNet - The Postsecondary Education Programs Network is comprised of four federally-funded regional centers providing technical assistance to postsecondary institutions serving deaf and hard of hearing students.

Society for Disability Studies - "The Society for Disability Studies is a nonprofit scientific and educational organization established to promote interdisciplinary research on humanistic and social scientific aspects of disability and chronic illness."

World Institute on Disability - Public policy center conducting research about disability issues and independent living.
